Upcoming Volunteer Opportunity – ACA Phone-banking

Get Covered America is in need of assistance with phone-banking. Phonebanking consists of calling consumers to inform them of their health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act. Or, it can consist of calling to recruit volunteers. This regular volunteer opportunity will take place every Tuesday  and Thursday from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Phone-banking Opportunity-

January 20, 2015; Tuesday

January 22, 2015; Thursday

CoWork Memphis

902 S. Cooper Street

3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Training provided at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30(15 minutes each session) and you will only need to attend it once. If you can help, please arrive at one of these times, if you have not been previously trained on phone-banking.

Refreshments provided!!!

Also, I would like to ask if anyone has any ideas and/or can offer space to host a phonebank(access to phone lines not required), please let me know. Some options could include churches, gyms, community centers, schools, and more.

SisterReach Is Hiring!!!

For the next four weeks we will begin canvassing and phone banking (knocking on doors and talking with people over the phone) and we need YOU! Currently, we have PAID canvassing positions available paying $15 an hour. Even better: for every 1 (unpaid) phone banking hour you volunteer, you are GUARANTEED 1 PAID canvassing hour! Earn up to 3 phone banking hours a week to be used for that following Saturday canvass.

***Phone Bankers will be required to arrive 30 minutes before shift for pre-call prep***

• Wednesday, October 8: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
• Tuesday, October 14:  6:00pm – 8pm
• Wednesday, October 22: 6:00pm – 8pm
• Tuesday, October 28: 6:00pm – 8pm

Deadlines for sign-up will be every Sunday before each phone-banking opportunity so (Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 25^th, respectively).

Deadlines for sign-up will be the Thursday before each Saturday canvass (so Oct. 9, 16, 23, and 30, respectively).
