About the Position

The course instructors may be hired for either part-time or full-time positions and will initially report to Robert Montague, the Executive Director.

Successful candidates are expected to have:

  • 3 years of teaching experience with demonstrated effectiveness in an urban context; a missional, self-starting, and team-oriented style;
  • and a passion for Memphis and technology.
  • Instructors with certifications in the currently planned offerings are preferred; although, training support will be considered for strong instructor candidates.
  • Compensation will be based on experience and at competitive rates.

The Dr. Benjamin L. GENERAL FUNCTION:

Provide software and network support, training and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Corel, Microsoft, and Novell products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related area and one year of relevant work experience.

Network certification to Novell CNA level or equivalent preferred.

An Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related area and two years of relevant work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.

 Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, networking and accessory equipment.

 Must have advanced personal computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, DOS and Windows skills.

 Must be able to assemble and disassemble personal computer components, including cabling.

 Requires the ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.

 Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

 Effective interpersonal skills

Job Description

Position: EDI Programmer/Analyst

Reports to: Director of IT

Positon Summary:

• Maintain all aspects of the EDI programming

• Research EDI chargebacks

• Establish EDI contacts

• Assist in the development of the programs and enhancements of networking Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all EDI documents inbound and outbound ( 850 Purchase Order, 855 Order Acknowledgement, 856 ASN, 810 Invoice, 852 VMI inventory)

. Verify that data was received, translated, and mapped into the AS400 / JDE database.

• Monitoring for Errors within the EDI data as well as communication transactions on the Invoisworks VAN.

• Responsible for the implementation of new trading partners for EDI documents.

• Creating and maintaining translation maps using Inovis Visual Mapper;

translating and testing data using the Inovis TrustedLink System.

• Creating and maintaining dream writers, world writers, and queries related to EDI functions.

• Vendor-Managed Inventory – Maintain VMI controls for customer using our VMI Central Supply program.

• Assist in ERP development/enhancement

• Processing orders that come in via EDI. Verify information (address, FOB, price, quantities) is correct. Contacting the customer for any issues related to the order.

• I upload inventory daily to Commerce Hub, as well as process any orders received. I also confirm the order was shipped as well as provide tracking for each order received via the Commerce Hub website before invoicing via EDI

Qualifications:

• Good oral and written communications

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills

• General knowledge of EDI specifications

• Computer programming experience

• Knowledge of JD Edwards

• Knowledge of System Administration in a Windows/AS400 environment is a plus.

Two (2) positions that need to be filled. The titles of positions are cyber security analyst or security analyst. The candidates should have a background in IT with or without a focus on security. This is a high level position which requires candidates to have a clean background because a security clearance is required or will be required to get their foot in door.

Skills sought after are based around Unix, Linux, VMware, Mac OS, Windows 7 and up, scripting and programming skills. Basic networking skills including TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, network and host intrusion detection systems. Symantec and McAfee experience. Also experience using SIEM application such as ArcSight is a plus. Archer or Remedy is a plus also. Candidates must be willing to learn fast and quickly.
