BlackGirlsCODE Memphis Chapter is excited to host our first workshop of 2016 on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at The University of Memphis, Dunn Hall! The address is 3725 Norriswood Ave., 38152.

Join us for Build a Webpage in a Day -Memphis! This workshop will teach participants to build their own unique webpage in one day using fun games and activities to introduce HTML, CSS, and basic web structure.

All BGC workshops are geared towards introducing tech divas to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as Tech Creators and Entrepreneurs. This event is intended for girls ages 9-17.

Check-in will begin at 9:00 AM and the workshop will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Registration for this workshop is $35. Limited scholarships are available. Participants do not need to bring their own computers. Access will be provided to a computer workstation during the workshop. Lunch will also be provided. Black Girls CODE, Memphis is thrilled to host their mobile app workshop using MIT’s AppInventor!

No prior programming experience is required and all BGC workshops are geared toward introducing participants to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as tech creators and entrepreneurs. This event is intended for girls ages 7-17.
