It is Recruitment Season for Youth Court! Please refer your friends and acquaintances who are interested in becoming a part of this program.

To assist in recruitment, remember to mention the items below:

  • Youth Court is a diversion program for young first time offenders and by participating in this program as jurors, attorneys and bailiffs, they will not only view how the system works from the inside but will also be instrumental in saving a young life.

  • Also mention that they will be mentored by practicing attorneys who will most likely remember them when it’s time to hire an intern as has happened in the past.

  • And last but not least, remind them how participating in this program will looks great on their college resume.

I know that once you mention the above benefits, your recruitment count will soar which is why we are asking that each student to recruit at least six candidates.  Is six candidates too low a number?  If so surprise me!  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

All new candidates must complete the attached Youth Court application.  All completed applications can be given to your school representative (we will pick them up on Friday) or brought to Juvenile Court and submitted to Ms. Lamar or myself.

If you have any comments or question please contact me.

Thank you.
