Alpha & Omega Nutrition Program, Inc. is looking for an intern to assist with all aspects of operations of non-profit events and nutritional education organization. The mission of Alpha & Omega is to make nutrition a priority for children in daycare by educating childcare providers.

Job Description

Working with the Executive Director and Program Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

 Coordinating media campaigns to publicize our program

 Keeping our online presence up-to-date

 Maintaining our email/communications database

 Assisting with planning and execution of innovative activities that inspire audiences to adopt healthy habits

 Helping to plan client and community events Depending on your interests, you can also gain experience:

 Documenting events with video, photography and blogging

 Educating adults and kids about nutrition

 Raising money in a nonprofit organization


Your Qualifications

*Strong interest in the following fields:

 Non-profit

 Project Management

 Marketing

 Early Childhood Education/Nutrition

 Early Childcare

 Event Planning

 Fundraising

 Corporate Communications

*Knowledge of Child and Adult Care Food Program preferred

*Excellent computer skills, and great research, writing and speaking skills

*Internet Access


The Details

This is an unpaid internship. Minimum 6 hours a week, including some weekends and evenings. Work at our office and telecommute.
