SKILLED CLERK – PUBLIC WORKS/FLEET SERVICES

Applications are being accepted for the position of Skilled Clerk in the Fleet Services Division of the Public Works Department.  Knowledge of Fleet Software and vehicle and equipment terminology is preferred.  Technical skills for this position include good computer skills and experience in using Word, Excel and Access software, internet and e-mail.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, handling financial and budgetary matters related to the City Shop; maintaining database records pertaining to purchases, bids, repairs and calls for service; processing the associated paperwork including titles, insurance and purchase orders; preparing bids for the purchase of vehicles and equipment; handling weekly bidding and subsequent purchase o f the City’s fuel supply, including maintenance of local, state and federal regulatory record keeping; coordination of financial allocations for the maintenance and repair of city vehicles and equipment;
